Johnny wants money for his birthday

For some reason, Cindy McCain sent Mr. N and me a birthday card (with a handy postage-paid envelope) to sign and return (along with "a generous contribution") to her husband John, who will soon be turning LXXII years old.

The card, which features a photo of an artistically dewrinkled McCain, includes preprinted copy that reads:

Dear John,

My best wishes to a true American leader, genuine hero, proud patriot and the next President of the United States!

Good luck and God bless you. I stand with you all the way!
