Things I just learned I didn’t know
South Africa did not have television until 1975. Although the country was technologically and economically advanced enough to support broadcast television -- and although it would be another 25 years before the creation of Family Guy, South Africa's censorial government and church leaders viewed “the devil’s box” as a threat to their authority.
