Today's MoDo PopCultRef Scorecard

Well, The Virgin Mother of Cool packs an awful lot of awful writing into today’s column, Captive to History’s Caprice. The good news is that Dowd keeps the use of dumb nicknames to a minimum. The less-good news is the number of direct and indirect allusions to Hollywood and movies she works into the column. The worst news, as always, is that the NYT still publishes this drivel.

I don't know -- should I have included "golden boys" in the list? It does seem to be an oblique reference to the old William Holden/Barbara Stanwyk movie....

Over at The Dowd Report, Mo MoDo gives us a wonderful exegesis with Our Doubt Is Our Passion.
