Here's an excellent example of our acutely self-aware, smugly self-satisfied, and, of course, boundlessly self-confident media. It's NBC White House correspondent and, apparently, honorary Clinton campaign advisor David Gregory warning Hillary that she has to ditch the dirty fucking hippies.

DAVID GREGORY: Hillary Clinton, her Sister Souljah moment is going to be telling the left to move beyond their hatred over Iraq, for Bush, and think about how they’re going to engage the war on terror in a very serious and tough way.

Why does Gregory believe these are mutually exclusive endeavors? I'm sure dirty fucking hippies throughout the country can think about how they're going to engage the war on terror in a very serious and tough way and sustain their hatred over Iraq and for Bush at the same time.
