In Freeperland, you get to pick and choose your hypocrisies very carefully

My, my. It seems like only a week or so ago that the freepi were razzing the American MSM for its timidity and deference to Muslims, and were actively recruiting right-wing artists to create blasphemous cartoons of Muhammad the Prophet, and joyously planning contests and funding websites intended solely to inflame Muslims by depicting Muhammad. All in the name of freedom of the press and freedom of speech, of course.

But now that a new series of disturbing photographs of Iraqi detainees tortured by US military have been released and aired by Australian television, the moderators at Free Republic have decided to exert their editorial power and are forbidding the freepi from posting any of the photos.

We've already removed two posts that showed these pictures, both in more disturbing detail than even displayed at the BBC site.
We don't want any of them posted here and we'll remove them.
We'll have little patience with those who disregard this admonition.
