Dear Tony & Glenn -- Keep your peckers up!

Tony…Tony…Tony (and Glenn):

Why so glum, gentlemen? I mean, Tony, in your latest scribble -- The Case for Victory -- you wobbled terribly, saying that "public support of the war is largely based on an expectation of victory." Expectation?! Darling, we have won! Don't you ever, ever forget that.

The regime has been changed. Saddam's two nasty boys are dead, while their Daddy rinses out his soiled Y-fronts in a tiny metal sink listening to the executioner's song. Isn't that rich!

Plus, we did something that was always held to be an impossibility: we proved a negative. There are and were absolutely no WMDs in Iraq. I think we get to give ourselves a big pat back on the back for that, too.

Don't torment yourself, Tony, with the idea that there are too few troops and highways in Iraq. Pish. We've done it all absolutely right -- and without any busybody blue helmets getting in the way.

And Glenn, remember: He also serves who links and links and links. You just can't let yourself feel weary -- or else the terrorists win. Now you buck up, and get back to keyboarding those URLs.

Keep reminding yourselves: the thugocracy is out, the theocracy oops, whatever, is in. As Don says: "'Well, I really don't like it, it's not perfect, but it's good enough, and by golly, if we have to amend it, lots of other countries have amended their constitution.'" Such a wise old coot.

Hugs and kisses,

Grace
