The last thing I clearly remember is Xmas Eve -- flu minus 1 day. After that, things get a little hazy. At least the stunning, feverish montage of Part One of the latest BBC version of Jane Eyre, some snippets of Jimmy Cagney in White Heat, Mike Huckabee winning the US presidency (apparently), talking heads chanting “change” and “experience,” an 11-second loop of Britney Spears being loaded into an ambulance, and Episode 2 of Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace has stopped playing in my head.Fallenmonk is wise. Next year, Mr. N. and I get flu shots.
