The drink-sodden former Trotskyist popinjay knockabout tour rolls into NYC

A debate between Scottish MP George Galloway and Christopher Hitchens on Iraq and U.S. and British foreign policy is scheduled for September 14, 2005, in Manhattan.

A little background: In May 2005, the strongly anti-Iraq War Galloway got into an argument with the strongly pro-Iraq War Hitchens right before Galloway was to give evidence to the US Senate. Galloway called Hitchens a "drink-sodden former Trotskyist popinjay." "Some of which," Hitchens subsequently complained, "was unfair."
