So what's the going rate for a woman's freedom these days?

I commented elsewhere (so many blogs, so little time) that the Bush administration never gives anything away for free, even the freedom of Iraqi women.

So just what is being exchanged in this sale? Some sort of "understanding" that nothing approaching civil war will be "allowed" until after the US mid-term elections -- or else?

Even if the Bush administration could play "Beat the Retreat" in double-time, would peace-with-honor-now-let's-get-the-fuck-out help Republicans that much for the mid-term elections?

And what's the effect of this blithe disposability of women's rights on Bush's security moms?

What a crushing realization for those security moms! So Big Brave Cowboy George really won't protect you against the evil swarthies who would gladly stone you and your bastard children to death, you infidel whores.
