Shame, castigate, replace, or demolish

"DeminNewJ" has a scorching comment on "Washington Post Uses Downing Street Memo To Undercut Bush Claims That He Was Victim Of Bad WMD Intelligence," over at The Left Coaster.

Here's an excerpt -- but please, go read the entire post and comments.

If we can't shame, castigate, replace, or demolish the so-called "journalists" in this country into some kind of reality check, the informed public so necessary to a true, representative democracy will continue to sleep through the conversion of the best experiment in human history in (small d) democracy, to an ersatz-theo-faschistic New American Empire. Ersatz, of course, because the main actors have nothing to do with actual Christianity, or any other religion. The label, fascism seems perfectly legitimate.

Only a thoroughly uninformed populace could sleep through the theft of elections, the dismantling of a viable middle class and a complete reversal of 85 years of earned esteem by the world community. The bizarre marriage of the plutocratic class and fearful, eagerly ignorant, "religians" is not entirely natural. The glue that binds them together is far reaching and effective control of what sadly passes for "information" in our society. This was the actual "nuclear option" the crowd who hijacked the hapless Republican party have developed. Guess what, they "triggered" it when Ronald Reagan became the "teflon president".
