This does not bode well.

Thanks to Holden at First Draft, I discovered that the Social Security Administration has a new, indentured servant-friendly website providing "information" on private, individual, add-on, personal carve-out accounts.

Finally, a chance to get straight-from-the-horse's-mouth info -- no spin, no filter -- on PRAs. So I loaded up my contact form with my nagging (in ascending order) questions and prepared to zap them over to the SSA. Surprisingly, a security certificate notice popped up, warning me with stunning cyber-telepathy that "the security certificate was issued by a company you have not chosen to trust." I cannot dispute that statement.

I kept clicking the various tabs for further clarification until I wound up here. As I said, this does not bode well.

This does not bode well.

Hi Grace,

Great site! And thanks for the link.

Have you considered activating an RSS feed?

I tried the link and got a "Page cannot be displayed." All I can figure out is that someone must have said something true on there, so they took the page down.

And hellllooooooo from a fellow Jerseyite. Saw your comment over on Skippy's site. Right now I am sitting in beautiful downtown Edison. I am delighted to report that there is a tree still standing.

Mr. FrogsDong: The site's back up (they were updating it on 3/15). One of my favorite sections is the "Fact of the Day" archive -- but I give them a broad definition for "fact."

PS:We don't really have trees -- except skanky pines -- where I live in Jersey, just sand and some strange substance purported to be grass.
