I'm sorry, was that a rhetorical question?

Dan (Democracy Is Messy) Senor and Brit Hume, reviewing some of the sticking points in Iraq's work on forming a new government.
DAN SENOR, FMR. CPA SPOKESMAN AND CURRENTLY A FOX NEWS CONTRIBUTOR:
[T]he interim constitution says that after the president and the two vice presidents are chosen, the Iraqi leaders have exactly two weeks to choose a prime minister, and form the rest of the government. So assuming that the president and the vice president are chosen here quickly, the clock is really going to tick in order to meet the deadline that's mandated by the interim constitution.

HUME: Why should I not believe that this whole thing could go kerflooey here?
Kerflooey? (Gee, and Hume is one of the most articulate of the Fox News mouthpieces.) I double-checked the meaning of "kerflooey" just to be sure. Here are some of the definitions: bonkers, haywire, on the fritz, out of commission, out of kilter, out of whack.

I like that -- Iraq is bonkers. Iraq is haywire. Iraq is on the fritz. Iraq is out of whack.

Sounds right to me.

Speaking of kerflooey: I'm having trouble logging on to Blogger, some I'm working through Flickr. Sorry if things look a little peculiar. -- Grace
